apparently he was somewhere around VP-level, but i'm not really up on teh-iran and i couldn't tell you if that's hyperbole.
initially, i thought: plenty of iraqis hate iran, maybe someone just got lucky with a rocket launcher...
...but, no, the US is saying "we did it, trump said to"
average americans will likely remain safe within the confines of the subway franchise buried within the inner sanctum of every walmart, but all manner of people abroad might die for this
i say we leave the us president and the iran supreme leader alone in a room with a stack of bricks, and say only one of them gets to be in charge
then feed the victor to sharks.

a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, as the saying goes, and donald trump, as president, has had a few redeeming qualities. one was telling the chinese where they could shove it; he backed down. the other was a deep aversion to blowing things up; he called off a strike on iran at the last minute a few months back because potential casualties were too high. now that he's had a taste of "the button," however, lord help us.

yeah im amazed he hold off for so long, one of the few good things he did was get rid of John Bolton, but circumstances at home have made him desperate for a distraction, he has kicked the proverbial hornets nest as it were. every time I think the middle east cant get more chaotic something like this happens

yeah this is the sort of thing that gets John Bolton's rocks off, its all a bit sad and predictable really, part of me thinks that America can exist without eternal conflict as so much of its economy is geared towards the production of war materials. Its like one of those strategy games/civilization, if you are not engaging your troops you just have a really expensive standing army

oh, hey, theoretically the military also does disaster relief and peacekeeping. if you deploy troops to monsoon relief you get field experience and goodwill.
this gets us in to one of trump's greatest failings: "hey, why are we sending all this money to these south american countries that don't do anything for us?" and he cuts all sorts of disaster relief, humanitarian aid, whatever. various parts of south america get worse, immigrants flood north, mexico can't handle it, and they start arriving in the US. trump complains about mexico's gross lack of control w/rt illegal immigrants and proposes a wall
the US has scads of money compared to most countries, and throwing a few billion a year at the unstable countries down the block is a solid investment. it's not even worth getting into whether or not they deserve it, the US gets its nickel worth and then some. like, c'mon, trump, you don't even need to be compassionate to see the math here

this is track is stupid but a hell of an earworm i haven't played it in years i'm listening to it now and i'm like ~ if you added lots of acid and breaks, chewed it up with buffer override this would kill it
maybe custom-grain a gpt-2 neural network to learn what the drums sound like and extract all the vocals so you could totally rebuild the track underneath
another idea i'll never get to, like the full-page treatment i wrote up for "clown shoes" last night. at the corner ~ stardate: jan 1, 2021. past my bedtime"
like it is now. nite
